Philadelphia, PA (December 7, 2017) –Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox LLP (MGKF) was proud to attend the November 21 groundbreaking ceremony for the future permanent home of the Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School.  MGKF’s Managing Partner Jonathan H. Spergel and Senior Technical Consultant Darryl D. Borrelli have done pro bono work to assist the school in ensuring that it meets the highest standards for environmental quality.

The new campus will be housed in a former tricycle factory located at 1717 W. Allegheny Ave. in the city’s Tioga neighborhood. It is expected to open in early 2019 for nearly 600 students. Cristo Rey opened in 2012 in an abandoned elementary school.

John McConnell, the founder and president for Cristo Rey thanked MGKF and others who are helping make the nearly $40M building transformation possible. He added, “Business leaders and philanthropists in the city are eager to support our youth who are our future leaders.”
